GHOST IN THE STORM, the cover art
I don’t know about you, but I think it’s high time we had some cover art for GHOST IN THE STORM:
I still have work to do on the book, but if all goes well, a release in the first half of May should be likely.

Finally, the cover!
Pretty cool looking! I like how you have a theme going here, if I’m not mistaken all or most all of the ghost book covers are from the same painter, correct? Who is he?
Also, when you are choosing cover art, what is it you look for? Anything specific, or just what looks good?
Thanks!
The painter is Arthur Rackham, who did a bunch of paintings for Wagner’s Ring Cycle a hundred years ago.
When looking for cover art, I generally consider a.) how cool it looks, and b.) whether or not it is in the public domain. Since I’m writing sword-and-sorcery, using public domain art has worked, but if I ever write anything more contemporary, I’ll probably have to hire someone to do the art or get a better image off istockphoto or dreamstime or something.
