what am I writing next?
Now that WRAITHSHARD: SWORD & FLAME is out, what am I writing next?
I am going to write WRAITHSHARD #2 and #3 back to back and release them immediately after one another. Both these books will be in Kindle Unlimited.
After that, I am planning to write DRAGONTIARNA: LEGIONS. I want to emphasize that LEGIONS will be available on Amazon, B&N, Kobo, Apple Books, Google Play, and Smashwords. I needed something on Kindle Unlimited (hence WRAITHSHARD) but I didn’t want to uproot DRAGONTIARNA.
After LEGIONS I will finish the WRAITHSHARD series with #4 and #5, and then write DRAGONTIARNA #6 (title to be announced).
I’m also over halfway through SILENT ORDER #10, and about 20% into CLOAK OF ASHES. Not sure when they’ll be done, but I might decide to finish one or another in between the books planned above. When these books are done, they’ll also be on all platforms, not just Kindle Unlimited.

Is Cloak of Ashes now changed to Cloak of Blades?
That was a mistake, should be CLOAK OF ASHES.
I had been pacing my reading of the Dragontiarna books to tide me over until Cloak of Ashes came out. Will have to rethink my strategy. Lots of options though as your slate looks very full.
Thanks for the update Jonathan!
Cool to hear about the close releases of Wraithshard. I loved it when Silent Order released a new book each week for 5 books!
Having finished Sword & Flame though I HAVE to ask. Are the Elderborn another nation if the Liberated?
Thanks!
No, there’s no crossover between FROSTBORN and DEMONSOULED.
I remember you saying that before. I both support and deplore that decision as universe mashups can get silly and derailing, though they are fun to think about.
One thing thatd I’d enjoy (maybe others too) is a semi passive observer character who exists in your different fictional universes. He/she would be like Fizban from the Dragonlancrle series and Zifnab from Death Gate Cycle (by Weiss and Hickman). Death Gate Cycle is one of my favorite series. Great one that I would recommend to you JM.
Anyway, I’ll be reading Wraithshard shortly. I hope this experiment works for you. I recommend your books to friends and family, kindle unlimited lowers the barrier to readers to get to know a new author.
Thank you so much for that! I was dreading another painful cross over – now I can read Wraithshard without fear!
