Google Play Books Displays One Letter At A Time?

For a couple months now I’ve been getting reports that Google Play Books will occasionally only display one letter of a book at a time. I’ve tried to reproduce this error myself, and for the life of me I’ve been unable to generate it or to verify it.

So, let’s see if we can gather more information and get to the bottom of this.

If you’ve encountered this error on one of my books, let me know here, and please provide the following information:

-The make and model of your Android device – for example, Samsung Galaxy S9 or Motorola G7. (Please be specific – simply saying “Android” or “Samsung” isn’t useful information because there are so many different kinds of Android devices and so many different phones produced by individual manufacturers.)

-If you know how to find it, the version of Android on your phone. You can usually find it in the “About This Phone” or “About Phone” section of the System Settings app.

-Which book you we reading when the error occurred.

-Which chapter in the book you were on when the error occurred.
