technological progress

I had to do a bunch of errands today, and I wound up finishing the audiobook I’ve been listening to for the last few months. Naturally, the audiobook was on my phone, and it connected via Bluetooth to the speakers in the car.

It was recorded in the 90s, and the closing credits included the narrator proudly announcing that if you wanted to order additional titles, you could do so using the fax number on the back of the CD case.

I’m betting that hasn’t been a major sales channel for a while now. 🙂
