CLOAK OF IRON now underway
Now that DRAGONSKULL: SHIELD OF THE KNIGHT is (finally!) out, my next main project will be CLOAK OF IRON.
I am pleased to report that I am 50,000 words into the book and hoping to have it out in February.
CLOAK OF BLADES was entirely from Nadia’s POV, but CLOAK OF IRON will have three POV characters:
-Nadia, who the High Queen sends with Neil Freeman to find the source of a Shadowlands-forged bullet used to assassinate an Elven noble.
-Neil Freeman, who you might remember from CLOAK OF DRAGONS and CLOAK OF BLADES. After a year in the High Queen’s service, Neil’s real personality has mostly reemerged. But big chunks of his memory are missing, and he feels like he has forgotten something vitally important.
-Lauren Casey, who owns the best (and only) car & tractor repair business in Red River, Montana. Lauren just wants to be left alone to run her business and look after her family. But Lauren knows a secret that might destroy her town and rip apart Earth and Kalvarion in a bloody war.
My gut feeling is that CLOAK OF IRON will be the longest CLOAK GAMES/CLOAK MAGE book to date, but we’ll see.
Watch this space for updates and occasional excerpts!

Outstanding, looking forward to it.
