The Pulp Writer Show, Episode 122: Digitally Narrated Audiobooks – Good or Bad?

In this week’s episode of The Pulp Writer Show, I discuss my experiment with digitally narrated audiobooks. I also talk about finally finishing the FROSTBORN series in audio (with a human narrator).

You can listen to the AI-narrated version of SILENT ORDER: IRON HAND here.

As always, you can listen to the show on Libsyn, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, and Amazon Music.

  • The AI voice technology will obviously improve and will likely include customization, in which we can get voices that we prefer.
For example, the Silent Order narration would sound much better to me if it used the voice of Leonard Nimoy or Peter Graves or Robert Stack, etc.
I suppose, voice rights will be a significant issue in the future.
