An opposite in order writing would be General Fredendall, who was initially in charge of the US forces in Africa during WWII. He came up with his own slang, calling infantry ‘walking boys’ and artillery ‘popguns’, among other terms. He also didn’t use the military map coordinate designations, instead using locations such as ‘the place with a name that begins with C’.
After Rommel savaged II Corps in Kasserine, Eisenhower put Patton in charge.
That would definitely make for an excellent salutary lesson!
