weekly progress update

Since it’s Friday, let’s look at how my various writing projects are going!

I am on Chapter 16 of 20 of GHOST IN THE SERPENT, which means I am just over 75% of the way through the rough draft! Hopefully I can finish it next week, or possibly the week after that.

It’s been interesting returning to Caina’s world since the setting has changed a lot since CHILD OF THE GHOSTS. Especially for the Magisterium, the Empire’s governing body for sorcerers.

MAGISTERIUM: You know what? This trying to rule the world thing really sucks. Let’s all get very drunk and write monographs complaining about each other instead! (Surviving magi cheer weakly.)

So if all goes well, the book should be out in October.

In audiobook news, DRAGONSKULL: FURY OF THE BARBARIANS (excellently narrated by Brad Wills) is finished. It just has to grind through the publishing process on the various stores, and if all goes well, it should be out in 7 to 10 business days. Work has also started on DRAGONSKULL: TALONS OF THE SORCERER, and if all goes well that will be out before the end of 2023.

Once GHOST IN THE SERPENT is published, my next project will be the next Nadia book, CLOAK OF EMBERS.

So that is where things are at right now. Meanwhile, since it’s Friday night, time to lose at some games of Magic The Gathering: Arena. 🙂
