SOUL OF SORCERY – the cover art
Cover image © Chris Doyle | Dreamstime.com
Twenty-three ebooks, and this is the first time I’ve bought cover art – I simply could not find a public domain photo or classical artwork that satisfied me. But I think this image was well worth the investment.
(If the layout looks skewed here, it’s because it’s only a screenshot of the actual cover, which is 1.5 MB.)
Anyway, if all goes well, I hope to start editing SOUL OF SORCERY on August 6th, and have the book available in September.

Looking forward to this one immensely and that cover looks fantastic
Thanks! If all goes well, I should have it out by September.
A totally different approach to the style of your Demonsouled covers, but nonetheless awesome!
Was this just a one time thing, or do you plan on buying cover art from now on?
I tried to pick the theme of “knights doing stuff” for all of the DEMONSOULED covers, and this does fit the theme. That said, it is very different from a classical painting, though it is quite a striking image.
It will depend on the book whether or not I buy cover art for it. I’ve got a whole folder of public domain art for covers I’ve haven’t used yet, but none of them really fit SOUL OF SORCERY.
