Oh, yes, it speaks to me, it does. See, I’ve written fifteen novels (and probably six or seven unfinished ones) in the last ten years, and I’m over halfway through Number Sixteen, so I know exactly what I’m getting into.

And, yet, I do it anyway. One’s creative impulses cannot be denied, I suppose.
