The Way of Kings, by Brandon Sanderson

That was…really good.

It’s a freaking thousand pages long, so it takes a long time to get rolling, the hyperkinetic violence of the prologue notwithstanding. Still, it’s got payoff. Dude’s got a knack for building these surprises into a book that don’t go off until the end.

So well worth the read. But you might want to wait until it comes out in paperback. Blasted thing is heavy.
