Robert Jordan was an effective writer

He gets bashed a lot.

But, I’ve had “Knife of Dreams”, book 11 of the “Wheel of  Time”, for six years, and I finally got around to reading it. And holy crap you guys is the final fate of Galina Casban horrifying. She brought it on herself, of course. Sherlock Holmes was right – violence does, indeed, recoil upon the violent, and schemer falls into the pit which he digs for another.

But, man. Creepy stuff, especially since it’s not terribly unrealistic.
