CLOAK GAMES: HAMMER BREAK wrapping up
Time to wrap up CLOAK GAMES: HAMMER BREAK today. Thanks for waiting – it took a bit longer than I thought it would!
From a reader comment about the last book:
“Nicholas is not stupid nor is he one dimensional. But then this is good of all true villains. They don’t see themselves as villains but the heroes of their story. The very best are convincing and dangerous because of it.”
One of the things that makes Nicholas Connor so dangerous is that he has figured out something that no one else, not even the High Queen, has ever realized. But more on that coming very soon!

You wrapped that up pretty quickly. It was on Amazon about half an hour after the post. I read Iron Image first in case it would be spoiled by Hammer Break. Loved Hammer Break. Could not put it down. Was noticeably longer than the previous books. Enjoyed Nadia’s newest hobby in between her tasks. I reached the end and read that Blood Cast is coming in early 2018 and I was like “Nooooo!!!!”.Hoping will see some more of her friends and family in the next book.
Thanks! I’m glad you liked it.
HAMMER BREAK turned out to be about 15k words longer than average for a CLOAK GAMES book, but we had two major new characters to introduce.
BLOOD CAST will be about Nadia and Russell. I’m hoping to get to it before 2018, but 2018 seems more realistic.
Very enjoyable. And nicks associates are not as smart as he is.
Thanks! The Rebels, the Dark Ones cultists, and the Knight of Venomhold are all dangerous on their own, but individually they didn’t make much headway against the High Queen and the Elves. But when Nicholas turned them into an alliance, they became far more dangerous.
