Characters of Demonsouled: Mazael Cravenlock

A knight, fearless and reckless. A killer, grim and fell-handed. A man of terrible rages and black moods, one who would charge an army to rescue a friend, and one who would chase an enemy to the ends of the earth.

All of these things have been said about Sir Mazael Cravenlock, and all of them are true.

At the age of his seventeen, Mazael’s father banished him from the Grim Marches, giving him only a sword, a horse, and a knighthood. Mazael spent years wandering from one end of the kingdom to another, hiring his sword, and fighting for whoever had the coin. Soon rumor spread of the young knight, wild and reckless and utterly fearless in battle.

Fifteen years later he is the trusted right hand of Malden Roland, the powerful Lord of Knightcastle. It was Mazael who took command of Lord Malden’s shattered army, Mazael who defeated the hosts of the Dominiar Knights below the walls of Tumblestone, Mazael who took Tumblestone in the name of Lord Malden. It’s said that Mazael is half-mad…but he is always victorious, and he wages war the way a master musician weaves a song.

Now rumor holds that Mazael could become one of the most powerful lords in the kingdom, if he but reached out his hand to take the power.

Though what a man like Mazael Cravenlock would do with such power, no one can say.
