short story audiobook, part 2

I have to admit I find it immensely satisfying that one of my short stories is now an audiobook.

I like writing short stories quite a lot, but of course they don’t sell very well compared to novels. (Basically, the main economic reason to write short stories is to add value to my new-release newsletter by giving them away for free with the newsletter.) That said, I do get a mild amount of flak for short stories, usually complaints along the lines of “why isn’t this a novel!?”

For SEVENFOLD SWORD, I had thought about not writing short stories for that series entirely. But then Podium asked if I could write something short as an introduction to the SEVENFOLD SWORD universe, something they could stream for free on the Audfans.com website before the first audiobook of SEVENFOLD SWORD came out.

I could definitely do that! Hence, SHIELD KNIGHT: GHOSTS ORCS.
