new books read
Quite by accident, so far in 2018 I have found myself reading a bunch of books by writers I’ve never read before.
Right now I’m reading a mystery novel by John Sandford. His books tend to be set in Minnesota, and I’ve spent a lot of time in Minnesota, so it’s amusing to see many locations I’ve visited turned up in the book.
I’ve also read 7 books by JD Robb this year. My one previous encounter with JD Robb books was (I think) about twenty years ago when I still worked in retail and was annoyed that I had to haul a pallet display of JD Robb books to their appropriate location. Anyway, I happened to start reading them on an impulse. I didn’t think I would like them – they’re more explicit and dark than I generally prefer my reading material, and I really don’t like 3rd-person omniscient POV – but they’re really well constructed.
Though it’s a pity Eve Dallas will never meet Sherlock Holmes. She would think that he’s a useless armchair egghead, and he would think that she is dangerous, reckless, and emotionally unstable.
But if they teamed up, they would get results!

I am not a fan of Roberts, JD Robb, but she is more prolific than Stephen King! LOL I am currently reading alot of D.K. Holmberg stuff. Really good fantasy author! He definitely always has a good twist on the magic used in his universes.
I see DK Holmberg turn up in the Also Bought section of my books all the time on Amazon, but I’ve never read anything of us. Will have to check it out sometime!
funny you should say that. tyhats how i found your books. looking thru kindle for someting different by someone i had never heard of. best search i ever did. ive gone thru Frostborn, all the Demonsouled series, all the Ghost series, Third Soul and Tower of endless Souls series. Currently in the Cloak series and tho its not my favorite series(i dont know why-maybe i just like dragons better) it fill my time between releases of Sevenfold Sword series( it and Frostborn are my favorites). Am debating about the Silent Order series, but im sure i will get to them soon. Ridmark and company are my favorites and am hoping someday you will continue with the original Frostborn characters. So keep writing, ill keep buying and reading.

Thanks! SEVENFOLD SWORD #6 is on track for the first week of May.
I think I’m going to be able to make SILENT ORDER: IRON HAND permanently free sometime this month or early in May.
In between Sevenfold Sword I am reading R.A. Salvitore’s Dark Elf series. I am trying to get into it, but having a hard time. I hear great things about it though
It’s pretty good. Best to start with Homeland, though, IMO.
